This is a fabulous, easy to use product that results in large, healthy flowers. I tried the liquid form and was not nearly as pleased with it because it was much more work to walk around my large yard with the hose and that bulky spray device. With the Shake and Feed, just sprinkle some around everything you want to feed and turn on the water. Of course you must be careful not to over-fertilize plants that might be planted in an already fertilized soil. That’s just common sense.

Using this with the regular Miracle Grow soil ends up damaging the plants. Well it did for mine anyway. The leaves quickly turned yellow, and brown and black spots developed on them. They looked like burn marks. A friend of mine told me it’s because it’s overfertilizing them and putting too much chemicals in the dirt. I then spent some time picking out as much of it as I could and eased up on the watering. The plants have gotten somewhat better. The leaves that were already starting to turn yellow before I did all that are now not turning yellow as fast. The look of it also kept throwing me off. Whenever I thought something was starting to sprout, it turned out it was just one of those little green pellets. So there’s no need to use this stuff and I certainly won’t use it anymore in the future.

I just received my order and these are not made in the USA they were made in CHINA… I ordered two each of the following nozzles 573, 573TF, and 593. They are all made in China. I contacted Gilmour and they said that all their nozzles are made in China now. I purchased these as gifts as I have one that everybody loves, but it was made in the USA. I try very hard to do my part and buy American.

I’ve been using this product for several hours total since I bought it a few weeks ago and it’s held up well. The other reviewers must have gotten a bad batch of these. One thing that I did before I started using it, and periodically check as I use it, is to make sure that all three bolts for the tines are tight. I think it’s plausible that something could break if these bolts are not tightened regularly. I don’t recall the instructions mentioning that. Actually, the instructions were not very detailed as far as how to maintain and clean the tool. One big downside about this tool is the design of the handle release (gray lever at the top). This thing constantly opens up as I’m using the tool. It’s not a big deal to stop and lock it back in, but it does get annoying after a while. Overall, I think it’s a good tool and would recommened it.

First few rolls back and forth and the center of the three blades broke off at the bolt on top. Few more minutes of playing with rolling it and one whole side broke off. We weren’t even pushing that hard just rolling it back and forth. I’d avoid this. Thankfully the store is letting us return it for a refund.

Just got this today, went to the garden and about 2 or 3 pushes through dirt and middle digger breaks off! Sheared right at the bolt. Wasn’t even being hard on the unit. I would suggest folks steer away from this one. I’m going to buy a Garden Weasel instead.

American Gerdner made the CRAFTSMAN Combo clipper which has this blade (grass trimmer) and a small hedge trimmer blade. The grass trimmer became dull and I purchased this to replace it. It performed like new, I was so happy I purchased a second one for a spare. These blades are excellent quality, I abused the first one by trimming ferns, new growth on my hedges, and it remained sharp for over two years. I was thrilled to find this replacement part at such a good price.
